Ondatrópica - Chop 'n' Quench

All-star Colombian ensemble Ondatrópica return with a single featuring a cover of Fela Kuti's 1971 classic 'Chop 'n' Quench' and two remixes. 'Chop 'n' Quench' was recorded during the original recording process for the first Ondatropica album at Colombia’s famed Discos Fuentes studio.

A project originally conceived by Will ‘Quantic’ Holland and Mario Galeano (Frente Cumbiero) the self-titled album went on to be released via Soundway Records to critical acclaim. Preserving the vibrant sound of the past and taking it to new heights with modern approaches to production, arrangement and composition, Ondatrópica topped many end of year lists in 2012.

New York based Adam Partridge, also known as Atropolis, remixes 'El Caimán y el Gallinazo' a track originally written by Climaco Sarmiento, the father of Ondatrópica's legendary saxophone player Michi Sarmiento - while fellow Soundway artist iZem’s remixes 'Tiene Sabor, Tiene Sazón'.
